Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has scored a late injury-time goal to help his team Montreal Impact beat Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2.

The match started well for Los Angeles Galaxy when they took the lead in the 8th minute thanks to a goal by Giovani Dos Santos. He benefited from a poor clearance by Maxim Tissot and just had to place the ball in an unguarded net.

However, Montreal Impact will equalize in the 26th minute with a superb counter-attacking move started by Dominic Oduro. The latter will run the entire length of the pitch before passing the ball to Piatti, who will score with a powerful shot.

The match will reach half-time 1-1 despite both teams getting multiple occasions to take the advantage in the game.

It will be Montreal that will take the lead early in the second half thanks to a goal from Lucas Ontivero. The latter will display some exquisite skills to evade his marker and score a sublime goal from inside the box.

However, Impact will not hold on to their lead for long as Los Angeles Galaxy will equalize only two minutes later. Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will find Mike Magee with a wonderful cross. The latter will control the ball well and unleash a great shot to beat the keeper and make the score 2-2.

Both teams again pressed for the winner, but both keepers will deny them. The match was ending towards a draw until Montreal Impact were awarded a free-kick in the dying seconds of the game. Didier Drogba will unleash a powerful shot from quite some distance, but the keeper will fail to hold on to the ball and release it in his own net to give Impact the win.
