Didier and Nicholas

We keep things simple on Didier and Nicholas and collect as little as we can. Here is the detail.

The quick version: we do not track visitors or run ads, and anything you send us is used only to reply.

Information you give us

The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or ad networks.

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a topic and a message. These are used only to reply, are emailed to the site team and kept no longer than needed to deal with the message.

To stop spam, the sender's IP address is turned into a one-way code and kept for about an hour to limit how many messages can be sent; the IP address itself is not stored.

Messages are passed to an automated service (Grok, run by xAI) to help separate genuine messages from spam.

Cookies on this site

The site itself only sets cookies for the people who log in to manage it.

Content from other sites

Some pages show pictures and posts from X (Twitter), and may include content from Facebook, Bluesky or YouTube; those services can see the visitor's IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

New articles are shared to the site's own social media pages; no visitor data is passed to them.

Your data, your say

Visitors in the UK and EU can ask what personal data is held about them, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, using the contact page. They can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Keeping this up to date

We may update this page from time to time; the date at the bottom shows when it last changed. If you are unsure about anything here, just ask.
